"I love that it's pretty unique and looks different to all other outerwear on the mountain. I get pretty hot when I ride, so as an uninsulated shell, it's the perfect option so that I don't overheat. On colder days I pair it with an insulator and it works well. It's hoodless too, which is the style I wanted as when I am resort riding I never pout my hood up so it get's rid if the extra bulk. It has a boxy cut, and feels light and unrestrictive. I cinch it in at the waist and pair it with the matching Kingvale Pant".

Vans got its start back in 1966 when Paul Van Doren and his partners opened up shop in Anaheim, California. From day one, they were all about creating high-quality shoes with standout designs. A big moment came in 1978 with the launch of the "Style 38" — better known today as the Sk8-Hi. With its signature Sidestripe and added ankle support, it quickly became a favorite among skateboarders. This era really helped cement Vans as a major name in the skateboarding scene.
