The Salomon Dancehaul is a fun, versatile all-mountain snowboard designed to bring freestyle flair to every part of the mountain. With its short, wide shape and tapered directional profile, it’s incredibly nimble, offering quick turns and excellent float in powder. The Rock Out Camber profile, flat between the feet, camber underfoot and rocker at the tips, gives you great edge hold and stability while keeping things playful for butters and side hits. It has a medium flex, making it responsive yet forgiving, ideal for intermediate to advanced riders who want one board that can handle everything from carving groomers to surfing deep snow.
Due to it’s shape/profile you can ride the Dancehaul 4-5cm shorter than your usual size deck.
Under the hood, the Dancehaul features an Aspen SLCT core with Popster shaping and Ghost Basalt stringers for added pop and smoother landings. The sintered base keeps things fast and durable, while biaxial fiberglass and ABS sidewalls add a damp, controlled ride. Whether you're lapping the resort, weaving through trees or hitting natural features, the Dancehaul makes every ride feel creative and fun.
Tech:
- Ability: Intermediate+ All Mountain / Freeride
- Flex: Rating 3/5 (Medium)
- Rock Out Camber Bend: Flat between your bindings for stability, Camber near the feet for response and a rocker on the tip/tail for pressability.
- Tapered Directional Shape, 0mm Setback: Tail width is slightly tapered (2-20mm). This loosens up turning initiation and improves floatation in deeper snow without sacrificing edge hold on hardpack. Ridden with a centered stance on its reference marks, despite its taper and shorter tail. While centered on the sidecut for all-mountain riding
- Aspen SLCT Core: Every single wood strip is hand selected to ensure unparalleled core quality and lightness.
- Sintered Base: An industry standard for quality sintered base materials. Provides a moderate balance between the speed created by a hard surface and good wax retention.
- Ghost Basalt Stringers: Basalt stringers are sewn into a trial layer for durable pop, control and damp ride at high speed and easy maneuverability when you’re keeping it mellow.
- Popster: The core is strategically milled inside of the insert packs, allowing the board to flex more naturally underfoot and transfer energy into the nose and tail for added pop.
- BA MD: Medium density European-made fiberglass layers guarantee a consistent quality level, for light and lively boards.
- Radial Sidecut: Created from a perfect circle, Radial is the classic sidecut for consistent response forward and switch.
- Fine Stone Finish: Their fine stone finish is particularly efficient on the Sintered EG base, speed up in powder or softer snow conditions.
- All Mountain Edge Bevel: All-Mountain ready, right out of the wrapper. Equipped with a 1-degree bevel in the nose and tail and a 2-degree bevel between the feet for superior edge hold and no hang ups.
- Volume Shifted: This can be ridden 3cm-5cm shorter than usual, as you are meant to size down for a more nimble, lower swing-weight board.
- Flip-Flop Base: In order to be more ethically responsible the base will alternate colours as to not waste materials.
