Burton Roadie Tech Base Layer

This midweight 230gsm base layer is designed to perform in all mountain conditions, combining warmth, breathability and stretch in a regular fit that sits comfortably—not too tight and not too loose. Made from 92% recycled polyester and 8% elastane, it delivers reliable insulation while supporting more sustainable production through bluesign® approved materials.

Built for active riding, the four-way stretch fabric allows unrestricted movement whether you're freeriding, hiking or hitting the park, while the quick-drying and highly breathable construction helps regulate moisture and temperature throughout the day. Integrated HeiQ Fresh odor control keeps the layer feeling fresher for longer, even during high-output sessions.

Comfort-focused details make it ideal for long days on snow, including chafe-free softlock seams, double-needle stitched cuffs and hem, and a hidden thumb loop for easy layering under gloves. HeiQ Smart Temp technology actively responds to body heat to help maintain a balanced temperature, making this a dependable next-to-skin layer for consistent performance in changing conditions.

Cotton is a poor choice for snowboarding because it absorbs moisture and holds onto it instead of moving it away from your skin. Once it gets wet from sweat or snow, it stays wet, which quickly makes you cold and uncomfortable. In mountain conditions where temperatures change constantly and wind chill is a factor, damp cotton can seriously reduce your ability to stay warm. Technical base layers are designed to wick moisture, dry quickly and regulate temperature—something cotton simply can’t do.

  • Regular fit is just right: Not too tight or too baggy
