Nidecker Escape Plus Snowboard 2027

The Escape+ is a mid-stiff, directional snowboard that is perfect for all-mountain / freeride shredding. The directional shape allows the board to float through powder, hold a carve, and remain stable when conditions get choppy. Pair that with true camber underfoot and you've got a board that grips hard on an edge and gives back some serious pop every time you load it up.

Inside, carbon is placed on both sides of the core from tip to tail, reinforcing the flex for a more powerful ride. This setup is designed for aggressive riders who want fast, snappy edge response, strong pop, and smooth stability at high speeds. A three-direction 45° fiberglass weave engineered for stiffness and consistent torsional flex, provide better control, pop, and lightning-fast response. The Light Core combines poplar and paulownia woods to keep weight low while maintaining strength. These are supported by beech stringers for added backbone and underfoot pop. Absorbnid Topsheet reduces vibrations for a smoother, less fatiguing ride, while the N7000 Sintruded Base blends extruded durability with sintered-like glide for low maintenance and high performance.

• Directional: The original shape, with over 50 years of proven performance, directional shapes have a significantly longer nose than tail. They excel at floating through powder and offer better glide, carving and stability in variable snow conditions.
• Camber Profile: The board's pre-bent tip to tail, so when you're on edge the whole length is pressing into the snow — proper grip, proper hold, and a snappy pop off it when you load up for a turn or an ollie. 
• Pop Carbon Plus: Carbon on both sides of the core and from tip to tail, beefing up the flex. Ideal for aggressive riders who want snappy edge response, tons of pop and a smooth ride at high speeds.
• Triax-Plus Glass: Fiberglass is woven in three directions at 45° for max stiffness. The result of extensive testing, Triax Plus uses different glass densities above and below the core to deliver more consistent torsional flex, better pop, and lightning response.
• Light Core: A featherlight core, built from a lively poplar and paulownia blend — paulownia keeps the weight down without sacrificing snap, while the poplar adds a bit more backbone underneath it. Beech stringers run down the centre to add strength where you need it most and give the board a bit more pop underfoot.
• Absorbnid Topsheet: An innovative top layer designed to absorb unwanted vibrations. Enjoy a smooth ride with less fatigue.
• Premium Sandwich Construction:A step up from our standard sandwich construction that adds carbon stringers for more pop, quicker edge response and improved shock absorption.

What size Nidecker Escape+ should you buy?

The size of snowboard that you should buy is based upon lots of different factors. Two of the most important determining factors are rider weight and snowboard boot size. You can use the chart below to help you decide what size snowboard to buy. 

We recommend that you select a 'wide' snowboard if your boots are UK10.5 or larger.

Recommended Rider Weight:

• 156cm = 65-90 kg / 145-200 lbs
• 159cm = 70-95 kg / 155-210 lbs
• 159cm Wide = 70-95 kg / 155-210 lbs
• 162cm Wide = 75-100 kg / 165-220 lbs

Snowboard Waist Width:

• 156cm = 25.5cm
• 159cm = 25.8cm
• 159cm Wide = 26.4cm
