Unlock precision, creativity and natural terrain flow with The Matriarch a snowboard inspired by the vision of Torstein Horgmo. Designed for riders who see the mountain as more than just terrain, it blends freestyle expression with the limitless potential of backcountry riding.
This directional camber board delivers explosive pop, responsive control and effortless float, making it equally at home on powder lines, natural features and variable all-mountain conditions. From backcountry transitions to resort powder laps, The Matriarch is built to handle diverse snowpacks with confidence and style.
Powerful yet intuitive, it blurs the line between instinct and intention encouraging riders to push creativity, draw their own lines and ride every feature with purpose.

Tech:
- Directional Shape, 20mm Setback: A longer nose and a shorter tail, the very essence of a freeride snowboard. With the rider weight slightly shifted to the rear of the snowboard, you get easier float in the fresh snow and you save the dreaded leg burn by not having to lean back as must as you would on a twin snowboard.
- Flex - Medium-Stiff (7/10): Responsive and powerful with a freestyle mindset.
- Positive Camber Alpine V4 Profile: The Alpine V4 Profile features a higher traditional camber through the mid-section of the board with smooth and low tip and tail heights. Slightly elevated contact points along with big-radius tip shapes allow The Matriarch to flex like a freestyle machine and float like a powder board.
- Transcend Core™: Ultra lightweight core enhanced with full length Bamboo Power Beams™ for maximum power and response.
- 2 x 20mm Fairmat™ Carbon Amplifiers: Added to the nose of the board to increase energy and response from edge to edge. It also provides a stable nose to keep the board settled when charging.
- Hybrid Supercarbon™ Holysheet™ Tri/Tri: The Holysheet™ fibreglass configuration features fibre weaves with a high tensile strength and low modulus of elasticity. With a higher roving count in the same weight of glass, you can have a stronger and more responsive board without adding extra weight.
- Magic Bean™ Resin: This resin system is poppy, powerful, and extremely durable. Magic Bean ™ resin yields much stronger and more rigid qualities allowing Capita to decrease the wood core thickness.
- Blended Radial Sidecut: Features a single radius arc through the midsection of the board combined with a custom designed blend zone at the contact points. Varying the length of these blend zones and tailoring them specifically for certain aspects of riding greatly improves a board’s performance.
- Hyperdrive™ ADV Base: With exceptional anti-friction properties due to high molecular mass and specialised processing aids, this sintered material has a proprietary composition and is beyond fast. This is for charging hard and Capita have integrated the fastest, meanest base available.
