Built to make snowboarding feel effortless, playful, and progression-friendly, starting with Bataleon’s 3BT™ Shape with SideKick. The uplifted sidebases in the nose and tail work with a flat centre base to dramatically reduce edge catches, giving you that catch-free confidence whether you’re learning new tricks or just cruising. Turn initiation feels smooth and forgiving, while the board still keeps a lively, responsive feel that encourages creativity all over the mountain.

It features a tough, fast sintered base and a forgiving biaxial fibreglass layup, making it a great choice for both newer riders and those looking for a smooth, laid-back ride.

Dual carbon rods placed inside the wood core boost the camber’s snap and responsiveness, while the medium camber profile adds a nice bit of energy and control, giving you enough pop and edge hold without ever feeling overly technical or demanding.

Topping it all off is the versatile 'directional twin' shape with a centered stance, which makes riding switch feel completely natural. With a slightly longer nose but a centred 0mm setback stance, it rides almost identically switch as it does regular, making it ideal for park laps, side hits, and freestyle-focused riding. At the same time, that subtle directional tweak gives you a bit of extra help in softer snow, so you’re not limited when conditions turn good.

• 3BT™ Shape with SideKick: Bataleon's unique board design features a 3D snowboard base design where the side sections of the nose and tail are uplifted, while the centre base remains flat. This design minimises the risk of edge catches and produces smooth turn initiation while maintaining a lively, responsive feel.
• Directional Twin Shape, 0mm Setback: To the untrained eye, a 'directional twin' looks basically the same as a true twin, but look closer and you will see the nose is 1cm longer than the tail. This makes for a snowboard that is just as happy lapping the park as it is tearing up the freshies with the first lift.
• Flex - Medium (5/10): Soft enough that it's super easy to butter, press and jib but with enough firmness that it holds pretty well at speed too.
• Medium Camber: Sitting in the sweet spot, the Whatever can be ridden more aggressively than lower cambered snowboards but it's not a mega-gnarly camber that you can't take out on a hangover.
• Biax Laminate Glass: Biaxial two-way weave that is light, strong and playful; it keeps the board snappy without adding torsional stiffness, which is great for creative riding.
• Light Core: 2:2 Poplar/Paulownia blend to create a balanced core that’s both lively and strong.
• D.S.T Core Upgrade: Hollow carbon cylinders, AKA Super-Tubes™ are placed vertically alongside both rails of the snowboard - significantly increasing pop, reinforcing the camber, and reducing board weight.

What size Bataleon Whatever should you buy?

The size of snowboard that you should buy is based upon lots of different factors. Two of the most important determining factors are rider weight and snowboard boot size. You can use the chart below to help you decide what size snowboard to buy. 

We recommend that you select a 'wide' snowboard if your boots are UK10.5 or larger.

• 157cm = 67-87 kg / 148-192 lbs
• 156cm Wide = 72-92 kg / 159-203 lbs
• 159cm Wide = 78-98 kg / 172-217 lbs
• 162cm Wide = 84-104 kg / 186-230+ lbs
