Bataleon Tech Guide

Bataleon Snowboards manufacture their snowboards differently from pretty much anyone else on the market.  Their snowboards use regular camber rather than rocker along the length of the snowboard but they use more of a rockered profile across the width of the base.  This is referred to as Triple Base Technology, TBT or 3BT. This makes the snowboard virtually catch free!

Whether crafted by nature or designed by humans, the best creations work with the forces around them—not against them. Bataleon took a deep dive into how a snowboard responds to pressure, whether you're floating through powder or hitting a transition in the park.

That journey led them to create a board that naturally adapts to the terrain beneath it. Triple Base Technology™ (3BT™) is all about working with the mountain, not just riding over it. Think of it like the curved hull of a boat gliding through water or airplane wings cutting through the sky—3BT™ is built with that same kind of smart, smooth performance in mind. It's snowboarding, elevated.

Bataleon Boards Are Not Flat

Every Bataleon board comes with a positive camber from tip to tail, giving you that poppy, responsive ride we all love. But here’s the twist—literally. We’ve lifted the contact points at the widest parts of the board to help reduce the chances of catching an edge. The result? A smoother, more forgiving ride without sacrificing performance.

After years of tinkering, testing, and fine-tuning, we’ve nailed the perfect balance. Our Triple Base Technology™ (3BT™) blends effortlessly with the board’s camber and sidecut, giving you confidence and control no matter where you ride.

Bomb hills faster

Edges create friction, hold heat and don’t hold wax—all of which slow you down. 3BT boards accelerate faster and maintain speed when pointed straight because the lifted sidebases have a shorter overall edge contact and reduce drag. This helps you coast along cat tracks faster, clear jumps and pass skiers on powder days.
