Jones Howler Snowboard 2026

New for the 2026 season the Jones Howler is a powerful directional freeride snowboard co-created by Victor De Le Rue and Elena Hight. Designed for aggressive terrain-chasers, it combines steep-line chargeability with freestyle pop and responsiveness. At its heart is a Hybrid Full (High Power) Camber profile, delivering explosive edge hold, ollie pop and stability through technical lines. The board also features 3D Contour Base 2.0 and 3D Flip Tips, reducing tip catch, enhancing float in powder and easing turn initiation.

Constructed with a Power Core (bamboo stringers and paulownia inserts) plus BComp Carbon/Flax stringers, it strikes a balance of lightweight pop and dampened stability. For added confidence in choppy, fast terrain, Koroyd material in the nose helps absorb chatter without adding undue weight.

The Howler’s low-tapered directional shape and long sidecut provide agile yet stable handling at speed, while its mid‑stiff flex rewards confident riders pushing boundaries. It also features Traction Tech serrated edges for enhanced grip on hardpack. Lastly, it’s built for longevity and eco-conscious riders: it includes factory-applied Forever Flex, eco-plastic topsheet, oversized recycled edges and a sintered base.

In short, the Jones Howler is a freeride powerhouse with freestyle capability, offering explosive pop, stable edge hold, playful responsiveness and confidence-inspiring control. An ideal pick for expert riders charging steep, technical lines and chasing big-mountain performance.

Tech:

• Directional Shape: Enhances float in powder, provides stability at speed, and allows for powerful turns, especially when riding forward. While not optimal for switch riding, they excel in diverse conditions like powder, groomers, and variable terrain.
• High Power Camber: Tip-to-tail full camber profile with 8 mm of camber along the effective edge for unmatched pop. The camber profile rises towards the tail and extends to the back binding for increased stomping power on the back foot.
• 3D Contour Base 2.0: 3D Contour Base tuned for all-terrain featuring 4mm spoon bevel in the nose and 0 to 4mm spoon bevel in the tail. Spoon bevel starts just before contact point.
• Power Core: Advanced triple-density full wood core made from responsibly harvested Bamboo, Paulownia and Poplar. Centred Bamboo stringers enhance durability, pop and torsional stiffness, while the Paulownia keeps the core light and damp.
• Triax Fibreglass: Triaxial fiberglass laminate made with a triple-layer, multi-axis construction that delivers a precise and powerful board feel with a mid-stiff torsional flex for supreme response in variable snow conditions.
• BComp Carbon / Flax Stringers: BComp Carbon / Flax stringers offer the perfect performance balance as the carbon provides crazy pop and the flax sucks up chatter and reduces CO₂ emissions compared to a full carbon stringer. Developed in collaboration with the Swiss engineering firm BComp.
• Koroyd Nose Insert: Developed from aerospace technology, award winning Koroyd synthetic core material is the lightest core dampening material we’ve ever tested. It absorbs vibrations and reduces tip swing weight, enabling quicker, smoother turns.
• Traction Tech: Like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board.
• Flex: Med Stiff & Lively (4/5)
• Sintered 8000 Base: New super durable material made from Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) and carbon. Base is easily repairable, highly wax absorbent and wicked fast.
• Premium Eco Topsheet: Durable and scratch resistant bio-plastic topsheet made from castor beans that’s engineered to provide exceptional abrasion and impact resistance while minimising environmental impact.
• Recycled Edges: Bombproof steel edges made from recycled German steel, engineered for maximum strength and long-lasting durability.
• Forever Flex: Forever Flex is a new manufacturing process that helps stabilise the flex and rocker of a board for its lifetime.
