The Salomon Highpath is a high-performance all-mountain and freeride snowboard designed for intermediate to advanced riders who want speed, stability and precision across a variety of terrain. Built with a directional shape and a stiffer flex, the Highpath is made for confident riders who enjoy charging groomers, carving powerful turns and exploring off-piste lines. Its tapered directional profile helps improve float in powder while maintaining excellent control and responsiveness on hardpack and mixed snow conditions.

At the core of the Highpath’s performance is Salomon’s ‘Rock Out’ Camber profile, which blends flat sections between the bindings with camber underfoot and rocker at the tip and tail. This design provides strong edge hold and responsiveness while adding a touch of forgiveness for smoother turn initiation. Its tapered directional shape improves powder float and enhances control in freeride conditions, making the board especially effective for riders who like to venture off groomed runs.

The Highpath also features a premium construction that combines performance with sustainability. Salomon incorporates recycled and bio-based materials into the board’s build, reducing environmental impact without compromising ride quality. The Popster core profile adds energy and snap for lively edge transitions, while basalt and fibreglass reinforcements create a damp yet responsive feel that absorbs chatter in rough conditions. A sintered base rounds out the package, delivering excellent speed and durability for riders who demand consistent performance.

On snow, the Highpath excels in stability, carving power and versatility across all-mountain terrain. It performs especially well in powder and chopped snow thanks to its directional taper and damp flex pattern. While it is less suited to freestyle-focused park riding or riders who spend a lot of time riding switch, it shines for those who prioritise speed, edge control and freeride performance. Overall, the Salomon Highpath is an excellent choice for riders seeking a powerful, confidence-inspiring snowboard that can handle everything from hard-charging groomer laps to powder days.

Tech:

  • Ability: Intermediate+ All Mountain / Freeride
  • Flex: Rating 4/5 (Stiff)
  • Rock Out Camber Bend: Flat between your bindings for stability, Camber near the feet for response and a rocker on the tip/tail for pressability.
  • Tapered Directional Shape, 20mm Setback: Features a nose wider than the tail, with a set-back stance to maximise powder float and carving performance.
  • Sintered Base: An industry standard for quality sintered base materials. Provides a moderate balance between the speed created by a hard surface and good wax retention.
  • Fibreglass Dampers: An extra layer of fibreglass strategically placed around the insert packs for enhanced dampening underfoot.
  • Basalt Boosters: Basalt stringers starting from the insert packs and radiating to the nose and tail in an array of three, ergonomically designed to increase pop while maintaining torsional flex.
  • Ghost Green Popster Core : Ghost Green core have been selected and designed to optimise pop & reduce weight while utilising sustainable attributes of a super light wood. The core is strategically milled inside of the insert packs, allowing the board to flex more naturally underfoot and transfer energy into the nose and tail for added pop.
  • Biax HD Fibreglass: High-density fibreglass woven in a perpendicular, dual axis pattern to provide quality, response, and durability.
  • Quadractic Sidecut: A blend of elliptic curves for easy turn initiation, effortless direction changes and fluid edge to edge transitions.
  • Fine Stone Finish: Their fine stone finish is particularly efficient on the Sintered EG base, speed up in powder or softer snow conditions.
  • All Mountain Edge Bevel: All-Mountain ready, right out of the wrapper. Equipped with a 1-degree bevel in the nose and tail and a 2-degree bevel between the feet for superior edge hold and no hang ups.
  • Flip-Flop Base: In order to be more ethically responsible the base will alternate colours as to not waste materials.
