FASE BIndings - Believe the Hype

FASE BIndings - Believe the Hype - The Snowboard Shop

Darren Williams

I'll be honest, when I was first told about FASE bindings, I didn't get it. I couldn't understand the point of a binding where you still had to do the ankle strap up. To me, I thought, well if you want an 'automatic' binding then get a Supermatic or Step On binding and if you're happy with regular straps then there are plenty of options out there... I really didn't understand this middle ground 'semi-automatic' binding. And then, I rode them!

FASE bindings are essentially regular 'strap' bindings but with the added convenience of an easy entry / exit thanks to the 'AutoBack' high-back.

When you step into the FASE binding, there is a lever on the inside of the high-back. As your boot pushes into this, the high-back closes into place. Then, all you need to do, is crank the ankle strap as the toe strap is locked into place once (set & forget).

To exit the binding, open the ankle strap and lift your boot out. The high-back drops down automatically to make this process super easy.

They perform just like regular bindings, there is no compromise. They are the same weight as regular bindings (which is significantly lighter than Supermatic bindings) and they are super easy to set-up. Also, they can be used with any standard boot on the market!

FASE is part of the Nidecker group and they are available from a few different brands -

We have a demo pair in the shop, so if you are local then please pop in with your boots and you can give them ago. You will not be disappointed!
